Win98 still has the IRQ limit and can be a pain to get combinations of hardware to configure if realtek ac97 audio for via have a lot of sharing. My mobo is already pretty old, and I don’t know if the are going to make Windows 7 drivers at all, I tried to install Vista drivers in compatibility mode, but no matter what I did, or how I installed the drivers, they stop working after reboot. I’ve searched the net and also searched the Forums here for a fix but just fr find one.
This situation involved differing flavors of the ac97 audio drivers. It is in my ”System Info. It doesn’t help with the reboot problem still.
